Frequently Asked Questions

What makes you want to design?

Over the last 3 years as a designer I have been exploring different areas, interests and communities to get a better feel for my position within this ever changing and growing industry. At a technical level I love photography and designing for print although I am finding more and more interest in identity design and branding.

On a more emotive level I am particularly keen of telling stories and making the little seen details know. I am very interested in giving my audiences a greater appreciation for things they may take advantage of, whether it be the impact they have on others or how they rely on those around them. I am highly interested in projects that expose life’s little intricacies.

For me being a designer and photographer is a chance to give viewers a different perspective on the everyday parts of their life that is often overlooked. It is more then just a pretty picture, every project has something to be communicated.

What programs can you use?

While a knowledge of working in many software environments and the technical skills I possess are important the real key using them to realise design solutions suitable to your projects. Being a designer is more then just software knowledge, it takes more to be able to discover the best ways to send your message more effectively. And my passion for showing the little things will ad to meaning for your audience to gain a greater insight.

What would you like in the future?

In future I would really like to gain a more indepth understanding of the skills I currently have as listed above to extend myself as a designer able to accomplish most tasks thrown my way. However; knowing that I can’t do everything and never will be able to I would love to push my focus into photography in particular travel photography. I have always loved seeing things that are new and different and especially love sharing such moments with other, if I could spend my life doing just that it would be a dream come true.
