New Website Design and Branding
As most of you will have noticed the style and layout of the site have changed dramatically in the last 48hours (those reading in an RSS reader will have to go and check out the changes).
I have changed not only the site layout and design, something I have been meaning to do for six months or so but have also changed the branding.
Why the change?
This semester brought about another assessment item that required the development of a visual identity, and this was the result. While I am still happy with my old design, a vote was taken and this was a unanimous winner. So here it is. Please leave me any feedback you have!
What else is new?
The change has also coincided with increased freelance work with a positive outlook of more to come. Soon I will be able to show the new website of Johanna H Studios, while almost complete there are still some creases to be ironed out, also there is another website in the near future.
On a more personal note, I have successfully completed another semester of my BCI (Communication Design), leaving me with three semesters left, and as I can’t wait to get out and start working I am available for hire and actively looking for more clients to assist to grow their business or provide the perfect gift.

Blank
This is a site i quite often use when looking for some inspiration. While many websites will display lists of sites with screen grabs to capture your attention Blank Magazine, gives you a simple diagonal line linked to a surprise website.
BLANK is a web based magazine with no content. It is a magazine with no images, no words and no advertising.
BLANK is a contents page for the internet, a global springboard curated through the work and experiences design studio one8one7.
BLANK will be released seasonally and is free, like all good things on the internet should be.
We hope you enjoy BLANK and the places it takes you.
So next time you are drawing a blank, let blank magazine fill it.
Love Letters
This unique project involves 300 love letters posted to strangers. Asia describes her goals of the project indepth on the website, below is just a snippet of this.
I wanted to be able to pull out and vocalize the small thread connecting me to them, them to me, the something in them that I found beautiful or real and the something between us that existed beneath everything, acknowledged or unacknowledged, forgotten gestures and moments, strange and rare affinities. In the same way that part of art.
When I discovered this project the goals and thought it provoked in me meant I couldn’t get enough. I spent three hours reading through the letters that had been written and couldn’t get enough. The project also inpsired me to attempt to further develop my ability to tell people what I think and believe in, afterall as Asia says
There is so much we don’t talk about, so much we have trouble believing in.
